Astragali Radix (AR) and Schisandrae chinensis Fructus (SCF) have been used individually in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulas for treating non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC). Qi Wei Wan (QWW), a 2-herb TCM formula composed of AR SCF, is to treat blood deficiency, fatigue, metabolic abnormalities.
